We are looking for a teaching assistant to complement our team and work initially in Y5/6. The role involves assisting the classroom teacher through support and inclusion of children, working with small groups and one to one, encouraging the children to become independent. A significant part of this role will include providing intimate care for pupils, full training, including moving and handling will be provided. Our staff are creative, ambitious and child-centred and applicants must want to be part of our friendly and ambitious team. You will be given the opportunity to be part of a whole school team, with guidance and support. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is highly motivated and able to offer high quality education and care to our children. It is essential that you are able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills. You will be required to have the equivalent to a GCSE grade C in English and maths. You must be committed to upholding and supporting the school’s values and aims. First aid training would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
This is a temporary post, initially until July 2025, for 32 hours a week from September 2023
