Permanent Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Can you make a difference to our children?
We are looking for a new teaching assistant to complement our team and work predominantly in Key Stage 2, alongside our fantastic Year 3/4 class teachers. The role involves assisting the classroom teacher in the teaching, support and inclusion of children, working with small groups and one to one, encouraging the children to become independent. It would also involve some class cover. Our staff are creative, ambitious and child-centred and applicants must want to be part of our friendly and ambitious team. You will be given the opportunity to be part of a whole school team, with guidance and support. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is highly motivated and able to offer high quality education and care to our children. It is essential that you are able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills. You will be required to have the equivalent to a GCSE grade C in English and maths. You must be committed to upholding and supporting the school’s values and aims. First aid training would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
This is a permanent post for 20 hours a week from January 2018.
Townley School & Pre-School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this.
