Temporary Level 1A Teaching Assistant

We are looking to recruit someone special to our SEN support team with particular skills in social communication and interaction.

We are looking for someone who:

+ Can promote language and social skills with a play based approach

+ Can encourage and support all children in reaching their full potential + Has a sense of humour + Is resilient

+ Has the best interests of children at the centre of their practice

+ Is able to ‘think on their feet’

+ Incorporate independence within learning activities

The role involves assisting the class teacher in the teaching, support and inclusion of children, working with small groups and one to one, encouraging the children to become independent. Our staff are creative, have high expectations and are child-centred; applicants must want to be part of our friendly and ambitious team. You will be given the opportunity to be part of a whole school team, with guidance and support. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is highly motivated and able to offer high quality education and care to our children. It is essential that you are able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills. You will be required to have the equivalent to a GCSE grade C in English and maths. You must be committed to upholding and supporting the school’s values and aims. First aid training would be an advantage, but training will be provided as there will some medical needs you would be required to attend to.

This is a temporary post for 25 hours a week from October 2019, initially until 2nd April.
