Temporary Level 1A Teaching Assistant

Can you make a difference to our children? Are you able to quickly adapt learning strategies to enable all children to flourish?

We are looking for a temporary teaching assistant to complement our team and work predominantly in Year 5/6. The role involves assisting the classroom teacher through, support and inclusion of children, working with small groups and one to one, encouraging the children to become independent. Our staff are creative, ambitious and child-centred and applicants must want to be part of our friendly and ambitious team. You will be given the opportunity to be part of a whole school team, with guidance and support. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who is highly motivated and able to offer high quality education and care to our children. It is essential that you are able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills. You will be required to have the equivalent to a GCSE grade C in English and maths. You must be committed to upholding and supporting the school’s values and aims. First aid training would be an advantage, but training will be provided.

This is a temporary post, initially until December 2020, for 10 hours a week from September 2020, working from 1pm until 3pm daily. This post could be combined with our other advert, please state on your application if you are applying for both posts.

We are looking to appoint an EYFS Lunchtime Supervisor

We are looking to appoint an exceptional and dedicated EYFS Lunchtime Supervisor who will work as part of a team as well as one to one, to encourage healthy eating, social interaction and to take responsibility for the supervision, health & safety and behaviour of our EYFS pupils during the midday break.

We are looking for a person who is:

  • Caring, patient and understanding
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Understands the need for confidentiality
  • Follows school policies
  • Conducts themselves professionally
  • Will make a positive contribution to the school

You must be committed to upholding and supporting the school’s values and aims. First aid training would be an advantage, but training will be provided.

This is for five hours a week, Monday to Friday 12-1pm.
