We are looking to appoint a Caretaker/Cleaner to join Townley Primary School and Nursery 24 hours a week from July 2024
Can you make a difference to our children? We are looking for a new caretaker/ cleaner who can make a difference to our school environment.
We are looking for someone who will be able to multitask, being both cleaner and caretaker dealing with call outs to the school, and general handypersons tasks as well as keeping our school clean. This a permanent post.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be honest, reliable and hardworking.
- Be able to work on their own, using their own initiative
- Be able to prioritise.
- Be able to work in a team.
- Have good DIY and premises skills and be able to carry out minor repairs and jobs competently.
- Be flexible and cheerful and enjoy working with children, parents and staff.
- Basic IT and literacy skills

There is some flexibility in working hours which can be discussed, but hours would be distributed something like –
- Daily 07:30 – 08:15
- Monday 16:00 – 19:15
- Tuesday – Friday 16:00 -20:15

Temporary Teaching Assistant EYFS Named Child 1:1
Can you make a difference to our children? Are you able to quickly adapt learning strategies to enable all children to flourish?
We are looking for a teaching assistant to complement our team and work initially in EYFS. The role involves assisting the classroom teacher through support and inclusion of children, working with small groups and one to one, encouraging the children to become independent.
Our staff are creative, ambitious and child-centred and applicants must want to be part of our friendly and ambitious team. You will be given the opportunity to be part of a whole school team, with guidance and support. We are looking for a practitioner who is highly motivated and able to offer high quality education and care to our children. It is essential that you are able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills. And finally, if you are prepared to engage in lots of fun activities and get messy, you may be the person we are looking for.
You will be required to have the equivalent to a GCSE grade C in English and maths. You must be committed to upholding and supporting the school’s values and aims. First aid training would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
We are looking for someone to work daily, from 08:45 to 12:00. Initially until July 2024, this post maybe extended if we are able to secure additional funding.
